This year at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, we highlighted some of our current and up-and-coming products. PRWeb lauds, “The new line of JMR Lightning products promises to be the highest performing and most versatile Thunderbolt 2 to PCIe peripherals and storage products in the industry.” All of the storage products are unique in that they differ in their additional features and thus utility. One of the products premiered at the NAB show was our Quad Slot Expander Model, LTNG-XQ-8-DT.

Our LTNG-XQ-8-DT Thunderbolt product is like nothing else on the market.

The LTNG-XQ-8-DT is an Intel-certified desktop Thunderbolt 2 to RAID adapter solution that features four, full bandwidth PCIe slots. It uses two independent Thunderbolt 20 Gbps bridge circuits: the bridges drive two slots each. There are four x16 PCIe expansion slots and quad Thunderbolt input/output ports that allow for daisy-chaining (meaning it’s not an end-point machine.) This is the only product with this design on the market. Installed in one of the PCIe slots is an ATTO SAS RAID controller – Thunderbolt compatible. It also includes eight hot swap RAID disk drive bays (SFF SSDs) and integrated power and cooling fans. Similar to other LTNG-XQ devices, it makes use of a multi-bus architecture (as per the Mac Pro design), so there are two Thunderbolt connectors to the host for optimal performance.
